Reviews
First time here at the restaurant and I was impressed by its beach vibes. The food was very good and the ingredients are fresh from local. The service was great. Overall I enjoyed the food and had a pleasant evening. After meal we took a walk around the beachfront it was really nice.
This is one of those places that people hate it or like it!
Positives:
-Location is awesome!! Such a cool aesthetic and Vibe
-Some of the food is awesome 😎
-Drinks are so so so good!!
-Outdoor seating by the water with heaters
-Validate parking
-Staff is great, friendly and on top of it
-coming early or during the weak is never a problem getting in and when there is a wait it’s not terrible
Negatives
-Food can be hit or miss for most people.. I have found things I really like for breakfast and lunch/dinner but I’ve not always liked what I ordered. Most of the people I know who don’t like it always mention the food was not to their liking
-On the more expensive side
-Drinks are great but they do seem on the small side
Good food in a nice setting, right on the dock, and in an area that's fun to explore. It's a great brunch spot. I got Surfers Rancheros and an autumn latte. Both were good. I tried my friend's lobster roll which was delicious but I think that's hard to mess up. Would love to return to try other other dishes. Parking is free in the structure with validation.
This is a really cute outdoor restaurant with lovely views of the marina. There is bar seating and plenty of outdoor and semi-indoor seating. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Our server Louis was very friendly and accommodating. We tried the mimosa flight and the kale apple was our favorite juice to mix with the champagne. I ordered the fried egg sandwich, which was pretty good- it came with potatoes that were delicious. They have a tasty aioli too that paired nicely with my food. My friend ordered the breakfast burrito and did not like it at all, unfortunately. The restaurant also has a dog menu. The restaurant is in an area with many shops to stop. Parking was a bit of a hassle. Overall, enjoyed the views and the experience.
They gave us the sunny table and asked if that w1s okay. We said sure no problem but it is also the last table and service was never good.
They didn't come check on us much, we even stood up to go pay. If I had the energy I would of asked to see the manager.
First time trying the Malibu farm and I'm a bit disappointed!
The food was good and the spot was cute. Just be careful where they seat you.
Malibu Farms offers decent fare with a nice view, but fails to really wow.
I stopped into the Newport Beach location of this small SoCal chain on a sunny weekday afternoon. The restaurant's prime real estate provides lovely vistas of boats bobbing in the harbor, making it a great spot for a leisurely meal.
The food itself was on par for the course in terms of Orange County cafes - fresh enough ingredients, but relatively simple preparations without much flair.
In summary, I can't rave nor complain too much about Malibu Farms. If you prioritize ambiance over innovative cooking, it makes for a nice, easy-going meal against the backdrop of the harbor. But overall the food is forgettable. I'd give it an average 3 out of 5 stars.
The atmosphere and location are absolutely beautiful. The person seating us went out of their way to sit our large group together. The waiter himself took forever to come around to the table and wasn't quite sure of the menu. We had to waive him down after he would pass by our table several times without checking in on us. The food was lackluster compared to our expectations. It wasn't bad, but not to the level you'd expect at a high end restaurant. Most of the food was fairly bland, one person's fish had nice crispy skin that was then turned soggy by the lemon sauce dumped on top.
Freshness oozes out of the menu!
Highly fresh, innovative and nutritious food choices. Seating is fun and it's a combination of small tables, benches and round tables.
Eating here is fun and atmosphere is chill. One can't ask for more from the restaurant as it's on Lido Marina.
Definitely 5* on the location and the good!
